Doom: A Megawad in 2 Weeks was a half-megawad community project led by Vegeta (the doomer not the saiyan). The titular premise was to assemble a cohesively themed megawad in 2 weeks. In that regard, megaw2 has a sorta weird focus on a storyline drawn from the Doom Bible (Tom Hall’s document containing the original ideas for Doom). As such, this wad follows the travails of our unfortunate hero as he slays demons on the planet Tei Tenga, Hell (of course), and finally Earth. My map comes into play as the finale to the Earth episode, where you face the new missile-launching head honcho simply dubbed The Brain. When designing the map I didn’t really know the dimensions of the new monster, so the arena was initially much smaller than it needed to be. Vegeta resized the arena and also curved the difficulty to be a bit more in favor of the player.
